2018- Gygi Chocolate Extravaganza

 

Every year we like to throw a party all around one of favorite things— CHOCOLATE. We celebrate the upcoming Holidays, teach new ideas and recipes, and have a whole lot of fun. As a thank you to our many great customers we offer a whole lot of free classes (and some smaller paid ones) over two days and fill the classroom with our favorite people–YOU! Along with the classes you will also find, store-wide sales, giveaways, samples, fun and lots and lots of chocolate. Join us for the day, an hour, or even just pop in with the family-all are invited for the store events!

Below you will find a schedule of the 2-day event classes- please note that some classes will overlap in time- so please be mindful when registering so that you are not taking spots in both classes.

Gygi Gift Cards

If you are shopping for that hard to buy loved one, or know what a huge “Gygi Fan” they are- a Gift Card for a cooking class is just the perfect gift. Most classes are $65.00, so if you are looking to cover the fee of the whole class, please buy in increments of $65. Once received, your gift card recipient can pick whichever class they want and when it is convenient for them. They can either sign up online, give us a call in the store, or even send us an email (classes@gygi.com) to sign up. Gift cards can also be used for store merchandise if they so choose.

There is no additional tax, service fees or other hidden fees. Each month offers a different variety of classes, seasonal flavors and classes from local chefs, bloggers, and foodies alike. You’ll be everyone’s favorite gift giver once you start passing these out.

Orson Gygi offers many cooking classes every month. We offer classes ranging from cuisines around the world, kitchen basics, and artisan niches. This week, however, we’d like to spotlighting a class from one of our favorite instructors, Chef Tom.

Chef Tom planned a delicious menu for his homemade pasta class. He taught his students how to make tender potato gnocchi with a parsley and sage pesto and a ricotta cavatelli with Italian sausage ragu with roasted garlic. Needless to say, it was a mouth-watering night of fun!

All the students began with making their own dough, shaping their dough into noodles, and cooking them to perfection.

The students then went on to make their own authentic Italian pesto and ragu. By allowing each student to actually create in a hands-on atmosphere they were able to learn, experiment, and take-away the lessons of the night.

By the end of the homemade pasta class, everyone had smiles on their faces and plates full of great pasta dishes they created themselves.

It turned out to be one of our favorite classes that we’ll definitely ask Chef Tom to teach again! Thank you to all the wonderful students who attended and made incredibly delicious homemade pasta dishes.
