Connie McDonald Whitesides has been a “Gygi Girl” since birth! No really, being the great granddaughter of Orson Gygi gave her the eye for all things kitchen. She’s a teacher by profession, having taught 3rd grade for five years. Teaching cooking classes perfectly marries her joy of teaching and love of good food. Traveling (which means eating!) all around the country inspires her to always expand her cooking skills and to try new, unique recipes.

She shares her passion for food with quick and easy techniques, which makes her classes great for kids and cooks who want to sharpen their basic skills with flawless successful results. She believes using simple ingredients presented in a delicious way is the key to making food everyone will love. She lives in Cache Valley with her husband, Tyler, who is always her first taste tester.
